Josh Smith is a hometown guy that should pick up where Zach Rogers left off. Smith isn’t going to be the fastest guy on the field but he’s an extremely consistent pass catcher that can move the chains. He’s tall enough at 6’1″ that he has a good enough catching radius. He could become a safety valve and favorite target of whoever ends up winning the quarterback battle. Smith was actually recruited by Butch Jones at Cincinnati so you know he will fit into Jones’ plans nicely. He was also offered by Arkansas.
