Jalen Hurd, a 5-star running back from Hendersonville, TN (Beech Senior) has committed to play football for the University of Tennessee.

Hurd is rated by 247Sports as the number two running back in the nation and 10th overall player in the nation.

Many thought that Todd Kelly would cause a snowball effect and that certainly appears to be the case. Hurd is the Vol’s 5th commit to the 2014 class.

Hurd is a 6’3″/225 lb running back that holds impressive offers from Ohio State, Florida, Alabama and Georgia.

This commitment will show the rest of the country that Butch Jones is serious about winning at Rocky Top. Jones has an incredible amount of momentum right now and shows NO signs of letting up
