"The end of spring practice next weekend probably won’t end Tennessee’s quarterback competition.Tennessee coach Butch Jones said Saturday after the Volunteers’ third spring scrimmage that he would like his quarterback candidates to keep battling for the starting job this summer. Junior Justin Worley and redshirt freshman Nathan Peterman are attempting to replace Tyler Bray, who bypassed his senior season to enter the NFL Draft."

From the Times Free Press

"Tennessee’s defense spent most of Saturday afternoon with its back against the wall.Testing the situational fortitude of his football team, coach Butch Jones put the Volunteers’ offense less than 20 yards from the end zone during most of the final spring scrimmage before next Saturday’s Orange and White Game."

From Go Vols Xtra

"One week ago, the Tennessee offense resembled a kid mistakenly invited to the wrong party. The one who sits unassumingly, fiddling with his glass, watching others share inside jokes. In last week’s scrimmage at Neyland Stadium, the offense watched the defense party on for two hours. The orange defenders cheered. They shared mid-air collisions — the modern day high-five. They spilled off the sideline onto the field celebrating every stop."

From the New York Times

"Tennessee guard Jordan McRae plans to return for his senior season rather than enter the N.B.A. draft. McRae earned first-team all-Southeastern Conference honors this season."

From UTSports.com

"Tennessee needed an SEC win and it got one in heart-stopping fashion against No. 13 Kentucky on Saturday.Leading 10-5 going into the bottom of the ninth, three free passes proceeded a grand slam that cut the Volunteer lead to just a single run. The Wildcats would go on to load the bases once again before freshman Jeff Moberg – making his collegiate debut on the mound – got a flyball to center to end the game with UT on top, 10-9."
