The University of Tennessee Football program is one of the most prestigious programs in the country.  Every Volunteer fan knows about the winning tradition.  From General Robert Neyland to Philip Fulmer and Johnny Majors to Peyton Manning, the Vols have had a litany of legends on the field to which people from all over are aware

The 6 national titles and 13 SEC championships are a result of excellence that few programs can rival. The most important position on any football team is the quarterback position.  The first part of our look at the greatest players in Tennessee Football history focuses on the quarterbacks.  While composing this list of the top five Volunteer quarterbacks, I measured statistics, wins, consistency and historical relevance.
