"The Tennessee Volunteers sent a message to their SEC rivals after capping off a major week of recruiting with their sixth commitment for the 2014 high school recruiting class on Sunday. According to Kipp Adams of ESPN.com, linebacker Kevin Mouhon announced his intentions to join the Vols in 2014, becoming the 24th commitment of Tennessee’s No. 1-ranked class, according to Rivals."

"A relative says former Tennessee women’s basketball star Mary Ostrowski has died. She was 51.Ostrowski’s sister, Beth Hundman, says Ostrowski died Friday night in Bristol, Va. Hundman says her sister was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, in 2007, and she died from complications from the illness.While at Tennessee, Ostrowski helped the Lady Vols advance to NCAA Final Fours in 1981, 1982 and 1984. She was an SEC All-Tournament Team member and an All-SEC selection in 1982 and 1984.Ostrowski ranks fifth in rebounds and 10th in points at Tennessee. She was inducted into the Lady Vols Hall of Fame in 2006."

Three of them are ranked in the Rivals 250.Tennessee’s 2014 class is currently a unanimous No. 1 across the big three recruiting sites—Rivals, 247Sports and Scout.At this rate, Butch Jones’ first complete recruiting class will best of any classes compiled by the last three coaches. In fact, the last time the Volunteers had a class this highly ranked was Johnny Majors’ 1978 class that featured James Berry, Lee North and Lemont Holt Jeffers."
