Another Gameday Saturday is upon us.

That means it’s time to reflect on game picks from last weekend and make my picks for this Saturday.

I went 8-0 last week, my best week of the season by far.

This week there are nine games involving SEC games, including two conference games. It’s not an impressive slate of games, but it’s SEC football nonetheless, so here we go!

Vanderbilt -32 @ UMass 12:00 PM ET (ESPN NEWS)

Vanderbilt will travel to Massachusetts to take on a winless UMass team on Saturday. Vandy should win this game easily, but I doubt they cover the 32 point spread, especially with a dark cloud currently hanging over the Commodores program. Vanderbilt 35 UMass 10

North Texas @ #9 Georgia -33 12:21 PM ET (SEC TV)

Georgia is coming off a huge win against South Carolina and they have a huge game against LSU coming up next weekend.

By all means this is the definition of a “trap game”.

Fortunately for Georgia, it’s North Texas, so they’re in no real danger. The Bulldogs will win easily in a snoozer, covering the 33 point spread. Georgia 52  North Texas 7

Arkansas @ Rutgers -1.5 3:30 PM ET (ESPN)

When Arkansas travels to New Jersey to take on Rutgers, they’ll actually be underdogs. Rutgers is 2-1 this season and they haven’t faced a quality opponent yet. Arkansas is far from the class of the SEC, but they should handle Rutgers easily. Arkansas 27 Rutgers 13

Colorado State @ #1 Alabama -39.5 7:00 PM ET (ESPN2)

Nothing to see here. Alabama will win big, as they should. The Crimson Tide will cover the spread in a lackluster non-conference game. Alabama 52 Colorado State 3

Southern Methodist @ #10 Texas A&M -28.5 7:00 PM ET (ESPNU)

Another non-marquee macth-up. The Aggies will rebound from their loss to Alabama in College Station and easily cover the 28.5 point spread. Texas A&M 49 Southern Methodist 14

Troy @ Mississippi State – 14 7:30 PM ET

As you can tell, these aren’t the most exciting games this weekend. Mississippi State will get back to .500 with a win over troy, just barely covering the spread. Mississippi State 30 Troy 13

Auburn @ #6 LSU – 17 7:45 PM ET (ESPN)

If this game wasn’t in Death Valley, I’d think that Auburn had a chance to keep it close.

But a night game in Baton Rouge?

No chance

LSU wins big, real big. LSU 41 Auburn 14

Missouri @ Indiana 8:00 PM ET (BIG TEN NETWORK)

This game is a complete toss up. It could definitely go either way. I’ll stick with the SEC and pick Missouri on the road Missouri 35 Indiana 28

Tennessee @ #19 Florida -16.5 3:30 PM ET (CBS Sports)

As much as I’d like to pick Tennessee, I’m here to get it right.

The Vols definitely stand a chance in this game, but I just can’t see them pulling the upset in the swamp. Florida is too talented and Tennessee is too young. Next year I can see the Vols finally ending their losing streak against Florida, but not this season. Florida 34 Tennessee 20
