The Tennessee Volunteers’ loss to the Georgia Bulldogs has been described by most with just one word — heartbreaking.

That’s an incredibly accurate way to describe what happened in Neyland Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Vols went into the locker room at halftime losing 17-3 and came out in the second half like the game was still scoreless. Neyland got loud and eventually the Volunteers took the lead and looked like they were on their way to their first victory over a ranked team since 2009.

It just wasn’t in the cards for the Vols, as the Bulldogs tied the game late, forcing overtime.

The Vols out-gained Georgia in overtime, but unfortunately they didn’t score and Georgia did.

Sometimes that’s just how it goes. Sadly for Vol fans, it’s been going that way for the last several years, but I think a change of fortune for the Vols is just around the corner.

Here’s what we learned in Tennessee’s loss to Georgia on Saturday.
