Butch Jones said on Wednesday night, during his weekly appearance on “Vol Calls”, that Tennessee will sign 30 players in their 2014 recruiting class.

The Vols currently have 26 players committed for 2014.

Assuming all those players remain committed, the Vols will add four more players.

Jones mentioned that we’ll see some taller corners and safeties in this class.

So far the 2014 class includes three safeties that are at least 6’1″: Ra’Shaan Gaulden, Cortez McDowell and Todd Kelly JR.

As far as who those other four commits will be?

Well here’s my predictions.

  • Evan Berry — four-star — CB
  • Elliott Berry — three-star — S/OLB
  • Charles Mosley — four star — DT
  • Josh Malone — four-star — WR

I think any Vol fan would be happy rounding off the 2014 recruiting class with those four players.

That leaves out some talented players such as Dewayne Hendrix, which means the Vols could actually have some tough decisions ahead of them.

That’s a far cry from where Tennessee was just a short time ago.
