Like a lot of you, I have a strange fascination with lists.

Maybe it’s the ease with which the information leaps from the page to your brain.

Or maybe it’s because typically folks can find something that satisfies themselves on most lists.

Whatever the reason I think lists are great.

All-conference teams might not be a list, but it’s the next best thing.

Esteemed college football analyst Phil Steele recently released his midseason All-SEC teams. Six Vols made the three teams.

First Team

AJ Johnson — LB — Senior

Second Team

Rajion Neal — RB — Senior

Antonio Richardson — OT — Junior

Brian Randolph — DB — Sophomore

Third Team

James Stone – C – Senior

Zach Fulton – OG – Senior

The biggest surprise for Tennessee is Rajion Neal being named to the second team.

There’s no doubt that Neal deserves to be on the second team, but few would’ve predicted such an honor for Neal before the season.

Neal has stepped up in his senior year, becoming more of a north/south runner, instead of trying to bounce everything to the outside.
