The Tennessee Volunteers lost their season opener to Xavier, but rebounded in their first home game with a 74-65 win over South Carolina-Upstate on Saturday night.

Guard Jordan McRae has been the catalyst for the Vols (1-1) in their first two games, averaging 20.5 points a game, while shooting 41% from the field.

The Vols as a whole are only shooting 38% from the field, which is 308th overall in the NCAA.

The Citadel (2-2) lost their first two games of the season, but have won their past two games to even up their record.
