I haven’t been shy about lauding the abilities of Da’Rick Roger since taking over this site last winter.

I’ve been pretty adamant about believing that Rogers just needed an opportunity on the field.

Well, the former Vol is getting that opportunity with the Indianapolis Colts.

In just his second game as an active player, Rogers broke out in a big way. He was the Colts’ leading receiver, catching six passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns.

Rogers apparently passed Darius Heyward-Bey on the Colts’ depth chart and was Andrew Luck’s favorite target on the afternoon.

With Reggie Wayne out for the season, and WR TY Hilton being ineffective for the Colts, Rogers should continue to thrive this season.

Moving ahead to next season, things also look bright for Rogers.

Wayne isn’t getting any younger and Rogers has all the tools to be a number one wide receiver in the NFL.
