The Indianapolis Colts have signed former Tennessee Volunteers running back Tauren Poole to their practice squad.

The move marks the second time this season the Colts have signed a former Vol to their practice squad (they signed Da’Rick Rogers to their practice squad earlier this season, before promoting him to the active roster).

Poole is in his second season in the NFL. He originally signed with the Carolina Panthers as a undrafted free agent in 2012. He was released from the Carolina practice squad before the 2013 season started. Poole has never appeared in an NFL game.

During Poole’s time at Tennessee he rushed for 1,883 yards, including a breakout junior year where he rushed for 1,034 yards.
