Sugar Bowl — Oklahoma 45 Alabama 31

What I said:

You might expect the Crimson Tide to have a letdown because they’re not in the BCS championship game, but Nick Saban won’t allow that to happen.

I expect Alabama to take out their frustrations on Bob Stoops and the Oklahoma Sooners.

Alabama 38 Oklahoma 20

It wasn’t so much that Alabama had a let down, as it was that Oklahoma just played that well.

This game was reminiscent of the 2013 Sugar Bowl, when Florida was heavily favored against Louisville and ended up losing badly.

Sooners freshman QB Trevor Knight threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns as Oklahoma won at least 11 games for the 10th time during Bob Stoops 15 seasons as the Sooners head coach.
