Defensive linemen Jason Carr and Jaylen Miller have both been granted medical redshirts, which means they’ll enter the 2014 season as redshirt-freshmen.

Both Carr and Miller played in three games this past season.

Carr accounted for one tackle in 2013. He was recruited by Tennessee as a four-star prospect out of Memphis, TN (White Station).

Miller had three tackles in 2013. He was rated as a three-star prospect out of Gaffney, SC (Gaffney).

The move means that both Carr and Miller still have a non-medical redshirt season available to them, should they need it down the line.
