The Tennessee Volunteers have been engaged in a numbers game for quite some time, with their rather large 2014 recruiting class.

The numbers started to make a bit more sense on Tuesday night when Vol commit Jerome Dews announced on Twitter that he would not be enrolling at Tennessee this fall, but rather enrolling at a prep school.

There was some speculation that Dews might not sign on Wednesday, thus his spot as a Vol wouldn’t be guaranteed in 2015, but according to Dews’ Twitter he still plans on signing tomorrow.

Dews will effectively be an early enrollee to the Vols’ 2015 class, meaning he’s considered a gray-shirt this upcoming season.

His scholarship won’t count toward this year’s total.

Dews is a three-star Athlete from Oxon Hill, MD. He also had offers from Purdue, James Madison and Temple, among several others.
