The Tennessee Volunteers wrapped up the 2014 recruiting season with one of the top classes in America.

Many of those recruits will be able to contribute immediately in 2014, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your viewpoint.

On one hand, it’s great that Tennessee was able to secure the kind of talent they did with this class. On the other hand, it shows just exactly the state of Tennessee football and their lack of overall depth.

It’s a sobering thought to think that the success of Volunteer football in 2014 will partially rest upon the shoulders of 32 newcomers.

Fortunately for the Vols, those newcomers are part of an extremely impressive recruiting class.
