The Vols missed on one of their top 2015 targets on Tuesday, but they still have a year to try and flip five-star athlete Jaason Lewis.

Lewis is from Virginia Beach, VA and attends the same high school (Ocean Lakes) as former Vols wide receiver Justin Hunter. The connection apparently wasn’t enough to sway Lewis to commit to Tennessee.

The Virginia native is listed as a wider receiver/running back/safety.

Tennessee actually led in the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions for the 6’3″/233 lb athlete, who has more of a running back build. The Vols already have a five-star 6’3″ running back (Jalen Hurd) on the roster, which likely factored into Lewis’ decision.

The Vols would obviously love to have a commitment from Lewis, but their 2015 class is already shaping up to be another impressive one, even without Lewis.
