The Tennessee Volunteers have yet to hit a lull in recruiting since Butch Jones took over as head coach.

And it doesn’t look like they’ll hit a lull anytime soon either, as Tennessee added their third commit to their 2016 class on Saturday.

Emmit Gooden, a strong-side defensive end from Brownsville, TN (Haywood) committed to the Vols on Saturday, according to various reports.

Gooden, at 6’4″/257 lbs, is already a massive defensive lineman — and he’s only a sophomore in high school.

The Tennessee native was recently offered by Penn State on February 10 (James Franklin is obviously still trying to utilize his Tennessee connections). The Vols offered Gooden on Janaury 27.

Emmit Gooden Highlights

Gooden is a huge (literally and figuratively) get for Butch Jones and the Volunteers. He’s yet to be rated by 247Sports or Rivals, but you should expect him to be a highly rated recruit soon.
