It’s officially official.

Donnie Tyndall, as reported by various media outlets on Monday night, will be the next Tennessee basketball coach, according to a release from the school.

The Vols will hold a press conference at 2:00 PM ET on Tuesday to introduce Tyndall.

According to Gary Parrish of CBS sports, the deal between Tyndall and Tennessee is worth $1.6 million a year for six years.

Tennessee had offered Cuonzo Martin $1.8 million a year to remain head coach, which was up from his $1.3 million per year salary.

Tyndall comes to Tennessee with a track record of success. He has a career record of 200-106.

The Michigan native guided Southern Mississippi to 29 wins this past season.
