The Kansas City Chiefs selected former Tennessee Volunteers offensive lineman Zach Fulton with the 193rd overall selection in the 6th round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Fulton was the second former Vol selected during the NFL draft (Ja’Wuan James was selected in the first round by the Miami Dolphins).

The Illinois native started all but seven games of his career at Tennessee. He was the full-time starter at right guard during his time on Rocky Top.

Fulton joins fellow former Vols Eric Berry, Tyler Bray and Dustin Colquitt on the Chiefs’ roster.

I wouldn’t expect Fulton to start this season (most 6th round draft picks don’t), but he should have a long, solid career in the NFL.

Getting a player with the experience of Fulton in the 6th round is a huge steal for the Chiefs.
