Tennessee Football: Vols Offer Rashan Gary

The Tennessee Volunteers offered 2016 stud defensive tackle Rashan Gary this weekend.

Gary is a five-star defensive tackle from Scotch Plains, NJ (Scotch Plains Fanwood Hs). 247Sports rates him as the best defensive tackle in the nation and the fifth best player in the nation.

The New Jersey native has been offered by notable schools such as Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, South Carolina, USC and Virginia Tech.

The 6’4″/285 lb defensive tackle is one of the most coveted defensive players in the nation.

Butch Jones and the Vols will have a hard time being a major factor in Gary’s recruitment. It’s not totally out of the realm of possibilities that Tennessee could land Gary, but it’s highly unlikely.
