Tennessee Basketball: Vols Offer Jonathan Nwankwo

Three-star 2015 power forward Jonathan Nwankwo has received an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers, according to Alex Kline of “The Recruit Scoop”.

Nwankwo is from Bronx, NY (Msgr Scanlan). He stands 6’9″ and weighs 245 lbs.

247Sports rates Nwankwo as the sixth best player in the state of New York and the 37th best power forward in the nation.

Nwankwo has received notable offers from Boston College, Fordham, Minnesota, Rice and Seton Hall.

The New York native also recently visited Alabama, but has yet to receive an offer from the Crimson Tide.

Nwankwo would be a great pickup for the Vols if they were able to sway the talented power forward to Rocky Top.

Donnie Tyndall has done an excellent job in recruiting so far, but a player like Nwankwo could help solidify his rebuilding efforts.
