Vols Basketball: John Collins Offered By Tennessee

John Collins, a 6’8″/220 2015 lb power forward from West Palm Beach, FL (Cardinal Newman), picked up an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on Friday.

Collins has not been rated by Rivals, but he is rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports.  The Florida native has offers from East Carolina, Georgia, Kansas State, Maryland, Miami (FL), San Francisco, UCF and Vanderbilt.

Collins hasn’t received a lot of attention yet, but that should change this upcoming season. He’s definitely a talented inside player that the Vols would love to have.

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of offers the Florida native picks up this fall. There’s no doubt that his length and scoring ability in the paint would be a huge asset to Donnie Tyndall and the Volunteers.
