Tennessee Volunteers 2014 Season Odds

The Tennessee Volunteers are not much of a threat to win the 2014 national championship.

At least not according to the Brovada oddsmakers.

Brovada has the Vols at 150/1 to win the inaugural college football playoff in 2014.

Alabama and Florida State are the favorites at 11/2.

Here are some other notable odds for the 2014 national championship.

  •  Auburn 10/1
  • Oklahoma 9/1
  • Ohio State 12/1
  • Georgia 18/1
  • LSU 20/1
  • Florida 33/1
  • South Carolina 33/1
  • Ole Miss 40/1
  • Missouri 66/1
  • Texas A&M 66/1
  • Mississippi State 150/1
  • Arkansas 300/1

Brovada also has the Vols at 40/1 to win the SEC. Alabama, as you’d imagine, is the favorite to win the conference at 8/5.

Obviously no one expects the Vols to contend at the national level this season.

No one expects them to compete for the SEC championship either.

But those expectations will soon be changing. Possibly as early as next season.

More from Vols Football

The Vols have added some incredible playmakers — both on offense and defense — in the past two recruiting cycles. Those players will take center stage in 2015.

While I don’t believe Tennessee will be a serious threat to win the SEC in 2015, I do believe they will be in the conversation.

And that’s a huge step forward for UT.

Butch Jones is making some noise on Rocky Top.

Fortunately for Vol fans, who have been through many tribulations in the past several years, it won’t be long before it’s more than just noise.
