Ohio State Now Leading For Vols Target Torrance Gibson

It should come as no surprise that the Ohio State Buckeyes are the new leaders for five-star Vols Target Torrance Gibson.

Gibson made the announcement after his recent visit to Ohio State.

Gibson is expected to announce his commitment on October 20.

We said last week — when Gibson continued to tout Tennessee as his leader — that we wouldn’t be surprised to see Ohio State at the top of Gibson’s list after his visit.

“If Ohio State makes a decent impression during his upcoming visit, I believe they will be the new leaders for Torrance Gibson.” – Zach Ragan, 7/24/14

The pattern that Gibson has followed has pretty much been wherever he visits last, they are named his leader.

That means the team that receives Gibson’s final visit will probably be in the best position to land the highly touted dual-threat quarterback.

It’s going to come down to Auburn, Ohio State and Tennessee. With Urban Meyer in the mix, I think it’s most likely Gibson ends up in Columbus.

The Florida native would fit well in all three offenses, so that shouldn’t be a major factor in his decision.
