Vols Basketball: Vols @ NC State Game Time Set

The Tennessee Volunteers will travel to Raleigh, NC on December 17 to take on the NC State Wolfpack.
On Wednesday, the Vols announced the game time and television information for the matchup between NC State and Tennessee.

The Vols’ game against NC State is their only true out-of-conference road game of the season.
NC State is coming off a 22-14 (9-9 ACC) season under third-year coach Mark Gottfried (an Alabama alumnus). In 2014, the Wolfpack secured an NCAA tournament berth and, like the Vols, played in a “first-four” game. NC State took down Xavier in that game, but lost to St Louis in the second round.
The Wolfpack lost reigning ACC player of the year T.J. Warren to the NBA Draft. Last season, Warren led the ACC in scoring with 24.9 points a game.
Point guard Anthony Barber, a rising sophomore, will be expected to contribute more now that Warren has moved on from NC State.
The Vols will have a tough time on the road against NC State. The PNC arena is not an easy place to play.
This game will be a major early season test for first-year Vols head coach Donnie Tyndall.
