Tennessee Commit’s Hit Goes Viral

Jocquez Bruce is a 5’10″/165 lb three-star athlete/cornerback from Knoxville, TN that has been lightly recruited.
Bruce has several offers, but only one from a major conference school — Tennessee.

The Knoxville native committed shortly after he received an offer from the Vols.
Bruce proved this past weekend that he didn’t get an offer just because he’s a hometown favorite. He showed he’s a viciously hard hitter in a clip that’s went viral.

It was definitely an impressive hit. Bruce read the play perfect, immediately reacting to the “smoke route” and “lowering the boom” on the helpless wide receiver.
That’s the kind of play/speed the Vols need on their defense. Tennessee has added a lot of talent, but they’re still not where they need to be. If they keep recruiting players that hit like this, it won’t be long before they’re playing on an elite level defensively.
