Vols Recruiting: Nigel Knott Offered By Tennessee

247Sports has reported that Tennessee offered 2016 cornerback Nigel Knott on Friday.

Knott, 6’0″/170 lbs from Madison, MS (Germantown), has not yet been rated by 247Sports. He does, however, have previous offers. One from Mississippi State and one from Southern Mississippi.
Knott seems like the type of kid that’s destined for one of the Mississippi schools.
Ole Miss has yet to offer, but if they do you’d have to think they would be the favorites. Knott’s hometown is just down the road from Oxford.
Butch Jones and the Vol coaching staff are trying to strengthen their recruiting presence in the Memphis/Mississippi area. They’ve had some recent success (Charles Mosley), but it’s definitely still a work in progress.
