Butch Jones Shoots Down Michigan Rumors

Vol fans were in a panic on Tuesday, as “reports” surfaced that Butch Jones and Michigan were interested in each other.

Jones quickly shot the rumors down after practice on Tuesday, saying they had no validity.

Earlier on Tuesday we published an article telling you why Jones wouldn’t leave Tennessee for Michigan.

That’s now a moot point as Jones did what every fan wishes a coach would do when they’re mentioned in a coaching search.

Butch Jones to Michigan was only lent credence because of the fact that Jones is from Michigan. Other than that, there was no basis for the rumors.

Jones has already started a tough rebuilding process at Tennessee. There’s no way he’s bailing in the middle of it.
