Vols Recruiting: Camron Johnson Offered By Tennessee

2018 wide receiver Camron Johnson was offered by the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday.

Johnson is a freshman at Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN). His offer from the Vols is his first reported offer.

According to 247Sports, Johnson played on the varsity team as a freshman, leading his team in receiving. He caught 32 passes for 642 yards and nine touchdowns.

Johnson, 6’0″/185 pounds, has not yet been rated by 247Sports. However, I would not be surprise to see him end up as a four-star prospect.

Butch Jones and the Vols have had a lot of success in the mid-state area (AKA Vanderbilt’s back yard).

Being the first team to offer Johnson is something the young wide receiver won’t forget. It’s a good move and I’d say the Vols have an excellent chance to land Johnson.
