An award for Butch Jones, Tennessee football as Wide Receiver U, and Chamique Holdsclaw lead the Volunteers news on Rocky Top for Friday, Sept. 30, 2016.

Happy Friday everybody! Fans on Rocky Top are trying to come down from the high of the Vols’ win over the Florida Gators last week so they can focus on the Georgia Bulldogs.

But that’s a pretty hard thing to do. Hopefully, the players are remaining focused.

Josh Malone, Vols pushing to bring back Wide Receiver U – Wes Rucker of 247Sports

"Malone said he and the rest of the Vols’ wideouts are working feverishly to reach the standards for a program that has spent a few decades calling itself “Wide Receiver U.”“When you come here, when you go to Tennessee as a wide receiver, you know the tradition that they have at wide receiver and what they have set for the future,” Malone said. “We just try to make sure that we bring it back and just let everybody know we’re still here. We’re still here and we can still make big plays.”"

UT to screen Chamique Holdsclaw documentary – UTSports

"On Monday, Oct. 3, the University of Tennessee will host a screening of a documentary entitled “Mind/Game: The Unquiet Journey of Chamique Holdsclaw,” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. ET in Cox Auditorium at the Alumni Memorial Building. Admission is free, as is parking in the G-10 garage.The documentary, directed and produced by Rick Goldsmith, is being shown to stimulate mental health awareness on campus and within the community. The event will be presented by the Thornton Athletics Student Life Center, in partnership with the UT Counseling Center and Helen Ross McNabb, a premier, not‐for‐profit provider of behavioral health services in East Tennessee."
