The Tennessee Lady Vols have another tough SEC match-up as they get set to face the LSU Tigers. Here is the preview for the women’s basketball Volunteers.

The Tennessee Lady Vols got their first road win over a Top 5 team in a decade when they beat the South Carolina Gamecocks Monday night. Now, they follow it up with a game against a team they beat the last time they were in the Final Four.

That’s a bit ironic.

Holly Warlick’s squad will take on the LSU Tigers back at home Thursday night. Coming off the win over South Carolina, you would think this is an easy game for the Volunteers.

But this team is so unpredictable and inconsistent that there’s no way of knowing what they’re going to do.

Here is all the information you need for the game.

LSU Tigers at Tennessee Volunteers

When: Thursday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. E.T.

Where: Thompson-Boling Arena; Knoxville, Tenn.

TV: SEC Network Plus

Live Stream: WatchESPN

At 14-7 and 5-3 in the SEC, win tonight would move them up the SEC ladder and possibly put them in contention to win the conference championship. It would probably put them in next week’s Top 25 as well.

They could also squeak into the Top 10 in the RPI, where they stand at No. 14 due to the No. 2 ranked strength of schedule.

That would be impressive considering how they started the season and even how they looked just two weeks ago. But the opponent has other things in mind.

Nikki Fargas’s Tigers are 15-6 and 4-4 and heavily in NCAA Tournament contention themselves with a ranking at No. 25 in the RPI due to their No. 8 ranked strength of schedule.

A win Thursday could shoot them up the RPI as well, and it would also put them in contention with the top teams in the SEC.

So the Tennessee Lady Vols can’t take this one lightly if they want to continue their momentum.
