Tennessee football recruiting got more good news Monday night as three-star junior college defensive end Dorian Gerald put the Volunteers in his top five.

As Tennessee football was reeling in recruits to fill needs over the weekend and then getting into the top five for other elite recruits, the Vols got more good news on the junior college front.

Dorian Gerald out of College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, Calif., announced his top five Monday night.

And the Vols were in it along with the Louisville Cardinals, South Carolina Gamecocks, Florida Gators, and LSU Tigers.

Gerald made the announcement on Twitter.

A three-star on Rivals, Gerald will want to go somewhere he can play immediately, and that’s going to be a bit tougher than you might think in Knoxville given the depth they have on the line.

At 6’3″ 255 pounds, though, he is the perfect size and plays strongside defensive end.

South Carolina appears to be the favorite to land him right now, as all three 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions on him so far have him going there.

However, Tennessee and Louisville are also in the warm category, so it looks like those three schools are clearly his top three.
