Tennessee football recruiting is already underway for 2019. Here are the Top 15 prospects for the Volunteers to pursue at this moment.
Tennessee football’s 2018 recruiting class produced mixed results. With a new head coach and a complete reshuffling of the recruiting board, nailing a Top 25 class was bittersweet.
The Vols inflated expectations with a strong early signing period. But National Signing Day was a different story. They hardly got anybody they wanted.
However, Jeremy Pruitt now has a full year to put together a class for 2019. Given what he was able to do in such a short amount of time on Rocky Top, there is plenty of reason to believe he could score a huge class.
On top of that, Pruitt has a built-in advantage with a ton of in-state talent for 2019. With a chance to get a head start on things and his connections to the states of Georgia, Alabama and Florida on top of that, there’s a lot to get excited about.
The big thing, though, as Pruitt noted, is that Tennessee football needs to win on the field. That will help them score top prospects as much as anybody.
Still, who are the guys they need to be going after? In this post, we’re going to look ahead to the top prospects they need to pursue for 2019. We are ranking them based on the Vols’ chances of getting them, talent, and need.
All of these things are always major factors when it comes to recruiting. It’s no different for next year’s recruiting class.
Given Pruitt’s staff and his own resume, he appears to be in great shape with his 2019 board. So let’s break down some of the major players on it. Here are the Top 15 Tennessee football recruiting prospects for the 2019 class.
