Final take

When all else fails, feed the post. Look for Grant Williams early and often, and everything will be just fine. There were many games last season where the guards didn’t want to have any part of getting Williams involved early in the game and that lead to slow starts for the Vols.

With another year and offseason under their belts, the players should realize where their bread is buttered.

Admiral Schofield and Grant Williams will lead this team as far as their going to go. I look for both of them to average around 15 points a game and wouldn’t be surprised to see both of them All-SEC First-Team selections.

I would like to go on record and say D.J. Burns will be the SEC Freshman of the Year. However, I just don’t see how he can compete with some of the guys from Kentucky, especially when he isn’t even going to start. Nonetheless, he should have a good year and make a lasting impact on the season.

Finally, the frontcourt has experience, strong work ethics, and knows how to win. Don’t get me wrong the guard play with Jordan Bone, Jordan Bowden, and Lamonte Turner is good, but it starts and ends with the frontcourt for the Tennessee Vols.
