Biggest questions

Can Jordan Bone become unstoppable getting to the rim?

The simple answer is yes. Bone has the length and the speed to get to the rim on anyone guarding him. However, will he take on that aggressive style of play? Coach Barnes wants him to; the ball is in Bone’s hand now. If he did play more aggressive, it would surely help the Vols.

  • Does Jordan Bone’s jump shot become a threat?

One of the negatives on Bone was his outside jumper. He’s got it, and when he is hot, he’s hot. However, most games he didn’t shoot the smart shot and that hurt his overall percentage.

If he can develop a consistent three-point jumper, there isn’t a doubt that Bone could be one of the best players in the nation.

Can Lamonte Turner score 15 points per game?

That is a lot of points, but Turner could easily reach the 15-points per game mark. He could have reached that number last season, but before conference play, he only registered two games in double figures.

So, with a slower start, Turner ended up scoring 10.9 points a game. With another offseason under his belt and hopefully attempting smarter not harder shots, Turner should get close to 15 points per game.

Who will run backup point guard?

Point guard by committee is simply the best answer. At times during the season, you could see Bone, Bowden, Turner, and Schofield all run the point. I would throw Johnson in the mix. However, I’m not sure Barnes trust him to get the offense moving, yet.
