Top five NFL careers of Tennessee football kickers, punters, snappers
Teams played for:
- Miami Dolphins; 1985-1988
- San Diego Chargers; 1990
- Minnesota Vikings; 1990-1995
While Tennessee football has a history of great place kickers, many of whom became legends at the college level, only Fuad Reveiz proved his NFL talent. In college, Reveiz set an SEC record with a 60-yard field goal in 1982, and he’s the school’s all-time career and single-season leader in field goals made with 71 and 27 respectively, the latter of which occurred in 1982 as well.

Reveiz’s play allowed him to be a seventh round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins, where he spent the first four years of his career. As a rookie, he earned the starting job and made 10 of his first 11 pro attempts, his only miss being a 52-yarder. That year, he hit a game-winning 43-yarder and went 22-of-27 as a rookie, with three misses coming from beyond 50 years.
After a consistent three years in Miami, Reveiz battled injuries in 1988 and then was waived due to those injuries in 1989, missing all of that season. He signed with the San Diego Chargers but was cut after a horrible month. Then he signed with the Minnesota Vikings, where a great career revival would occur.
From 1990 to 1995, Reveiz became a standout kicker in Minnesota. He made a Pro Bowl in 1994. Injuries still plagued him, forcing him to retire after 1995. However, by that point, Reveiz had enjoyed 10 years in the pros and a Pro Bowl. For his career, he hit 188 of 250 attempts and even hit nine 50-yarders. So he had a great run, which puts him up here on this list.
