13. team. 822. . 2-3 (0-2). Previous: . Tigers

Last week: Lost to Tennessee Volunteers 62-24

Things are looking really bad for Eliah Drinkwitz’s team now. It was heartbreaking for them to lose to the Kentucky Wildcats and Boston College Eagles by a touchdown each, but the Missouri Tigers still seemed to have talent and on the cusp of taking a big step in Drinkwitz’s second year after a solid first year. Well, now it looks like they’ve taken a step backward.

Josh Heupel and Tennessee football should not have had the team to dominate Mizzou the way they did, but it has now created tons of turmoil there. They parted ways with their defensive line coach after horrendous play against the run, and they seem to be in the exact same spot the Vols were in last year after losing at home to the Kentucky Wildcats.

As one of the only two teams in the league with a losing record, they obviously have to be in the bottom two of our SEC Power Rankings. Don’t worry, they still haven’t done enough damage to be as bad as Vandy, but there are problems.

Up next is a home date with the North Texas Mean Green, and Vanderbilt is still on the slate along with the South Carolina Gamecocks. But their other games left are the Texas A&M Aggies, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs and Arkansas Razorbacks, so they needed to beat Tennessee football to guarantee themselves a bowl game. Now they need an upset somewhere.
