Welcome back to the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. It hasn’t been much of a rivalry the past three years. Ever since the Auburn Tigers blew out Georgia in the regular season of 2017, Georgia has dominated, starting with the SEC Championship of that year and continuing on the next three years. They have won four straight, three by three scores.

Coming into this game, there’s no doubt that No. 2 ranked UGA is playing better than anybody in the SEC right now. The Dawgs have been dominant against every team they have faced, and quite honestly, they may even be better now than the team we saw beat the Clemson Tigers to open the year.

No. 18 ranked Auburn has had the best season of all SEC schools with first-year head coaches under Bryan Harsin. Tennessee football is creeping up on them, but coming off last week’s close win over the LSU Tigers, though, Harsin is doing a good job proving this team belongs. He did inherit more talent than Josh Heupel did with Tennessee football, though.

Prediction

This is a tough line, as anything can happen in this rivalry, especially with UGA traveling to Jordan-Hare Stadium. However, I’ve got Georgia covering. They’ve dominated too much in recent years, even down there, and Auburn is going through too many transitions. The Dawgs win and cover, but Auburn will score enough for the game to hit the over.

Georgia: 34 Auburn: 17 (Georgia -15; Over 46.5)
