Yes, we are listing playmakers on defense as many of the most important players Tennessee football will face against Ole Miss on Saturday. That’s because while we know what the offenses will do, the one who makes the big play on defense gives his team the best chance to win, and Ole Miss, despite its defensive issues, has some playmakers.

Standing out among them is Chance Campbell. The middle linebacker is tied with Sam Williams for the team leader in tackles for a loss with five, and three of them are sacks, good for second on the team to Williams. As a result, Campbell can also exploit the Vols’ weaknesses.

Meanwhile, Campbell 38 total tackles and 15 solo tackles ties him with Otis Reese for first and second on the team respectively. Add in the fact that he has forced a fumble and recovered two more, and he is the guy the Vols always have to keep an eye out for.

Miles Battle, Jaylon Jones, Deantre Prince, Kentrel Bullock and Cedric Johnson could have made this list, but Campbell is the guy who can make any big play needed. Just one could change the game, and that’s why he is so high up on this list.
