1. Over 41.5 in first half

By far the best bet in this game is the first half score. Why is that? Well, Tennessee football’s strongest offensive quarter has been the first quarter, and Ole Miss’ strongest quarter has been the second quarter. Taking that into account, you might cross 60 in this half.

The Vols have scored 28 points in the first quarter of each of their past two games. They are averaging just under 17 points a game in the first quarter, an insane stat, and only once, against Florida, did they fail to reach double digits in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss has been insanely great in the second quarter. Despite being shut out by Alabama in the second quarter, they are still averaging just over 16 points a game in that quarter. In three of their five games, they have scored at least 20 points in the second quarter.

If these two teams just have their second worst performances in their best quarters this year, you’re already looking at 27 total points. That doesn’t include the points they may score in the other quarters. Add in the fact that the second quarter is the Vols’ worst defensive quarter, as they give up nine points a game in that quarter, and you’ve got a recipe for a ton of scoring in this half.
