Charleston Southern Buccaneers (4-5, 3-4) at Georgia Bulldogs (10-0, 8-0)

Saturday, Nov. 20 at Noon ET; Athens, Ga.; ESPN+/SEC Network+

Continuing with SEC teams facing FCS schools this week, the Georgia Bulldogs clinched an undefeated regular season in the SEC for the first time since 1982 with their 41-17 win over Tennessee football last week. Kirby Smart’s kids don’t let up.

At No. 1 across the board, they’re going for their first undefeated regular season since that same year. Luckily for them, they have an extremely easy road to get there, facing an FCS program this week at Sanford Stadium and then visiting a bad Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets team next week.

The Charleston Southern Buccaneers, like the Tennessee State Tigers, are below average even by FCS standards under third-year head coach Autry Denson. Coming out of the Big South, they get to face what may be the best team in the nation, which will probably wreck their confidence even further. Is there anything they can learn from this matchup?

Prediction

Honestly, UGA shouldn’t be in danger of looking ahead to the SEC Championship game, as finishing the regular season undefeated likely assures them a playoff spot no matter what. They could be looking ahead to GT, though. It won’t matter. They showed with Tennessee football they’ll dominate everybody, and this will be historical domination. Take the Dawgs, obviously.
