One team has quit on the season. The other is inferior and has had a disappointing season but could salvage it with a bowl game. That makes for an intriguing matchup at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field Saturday afternoon.

The Florida Gators struggled to put away the Samford Bulldogs last week. Every week it becomes less and less clear how Tennessee football got blown out by this team. National championship hopes at the beginning of the year have turned into maybe not even making a bowl game with this and the Florida State Seminoles to close out the year. Dan Mullen’s seat is on fire.

Meanwhile, the Missouri Tigers struggled throughout the year and didn’t live up to expectations Eliah Drinkwitz’s second year on the job after a strong first year. Losing 62-24 to Tennessee football shows that. Still, an upset here or next week against the Arkansas Razorbacks guarantees them six wins.

Prediction

Mizzou is at home and has more to play for. This is their best chance at an upset to get six wins, and after holding off the South Carolina Gamecocks last week, they won’t mess this up. Not only will they cover the spread, but they’ll win outright in a shootout. Take them in the upset and take the over.
