Okay, technically, Arkansas has the same resume as Tennessee football, Alabama and Mississippi State without a road win. However, this is where one exception comes into play, as we’re hypocritically still putting some weight on the Cincinnati Bearcats as a Group of Five team. You get Power Five credibility coming off a playoff run.

As a result, despite playing two games at home, for now, Arkansas has the equivalent of two Power Five wins. That’s enough to keep them slightly higher than the other three team sin our SEC Power Rankings for now, and the way they dominated South Carolina also stands out.

Sam Pittman’s program is doing exactly what it did last year. The question remains as to whether or not they can carry this into late October, but he’s got a solid system in place. However, the problem with the Hogs is the fact that they aren’t running from opponents this year.

They’ll get to 3-0 Saturday with their one FCS foe, the Missouri State Bears. Down the stretch, though, their other two non-conference foes are at the BYU Cougars, a top 10 caliber team, and the Liberty Flames, a program on the rise. Immediately after this, they visit a Texas A&M team out for revenge before hosting Alabama and visiting MSU, so things will get tough soon.
