A receiver the Volunteers have recruited hard is one step closer to being a Tennessee commit.   Today Marquez North  canceled his in home vist he had scheduled with UNC coaches and informed them that UNC was no longer an option for him.  He had previously stated that his decision was down to North Carolina and Tennessee.  This latest news has Butch Jones on the verge of landing his first “splash” commitment. North would help a Volunteer receiving corps, that’s lost three key contributors, immediately.  Earlier this off season juniors Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson declared for the NFL draft.  The Volunteers also lost graduating senior Zach Rogers.  North can expect to see the field early and often in Jones and offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian’s new look up tempo offense if he were to enroll at Tennessee.  National signing day is February 6th.
