Jones, a junior college transfer, will be able to contribute to the Volunteers immediately.  Tennessee’s secondary had it’s share of troubles last season and the hope is that Jones will be able to alleviate some of those struggles. Jones has shown a good ability to defend against the run as well as the pass.  He’s already enrolled at Tennessee and will be participating in spring practice. Jones chose Tennessee over Kansas State, Ole Miss and Wake Forest among others.
