Vols winning streak continues

Tennessee improved to 17-10 (9-6) SEC after a win over Florida Tuesday night in Thompson Boling Arena in front of over 19,000 fans.

The Vols were led in scoring by Jordan McRae who had 27 points and played 39 minutes. Jarnell Stokes was 2 points shy from another double double with 8 points and 14 rebounds. Stokes only played 24 minutes, due to being in foul trouble early in the second half. The Volunteers went into half time leading 35-32.

The Gators came out strong scoring the first 5 points of the second half, then McRae blocked a shot on one end of the court, then a had dunk on the other end. Tennessee Scored 34 points in the paint, shooting 42% for the game. Jordan McRae hit three 3 pointers, with Trae Golden and Sklyar McBee each  hitting  a three as well. As a team the Vols shot 5 of 18 from three point range, shooting 27.8% behind the arc. The Vols bench helped by scoring 14 points, lead by Skylar McBee with 5 points.

The Vols will continue to make a run for an NCAA Tournament bid when they play Georgia on March 2nd at 1:45 pm est in Athens, GA.
