2014 linebacker prospect Bryson Allen-Williams was in Knoxville to visit the University of Tennessee this past weekend.

Allen-Williams is a 4-star prospect from Ellenwood, GA (Cedar Grove). The outside linebacker stands 6’3″ and weighs 225 lbs.

It was apparent from Twitter that Allen-Williams enjoyed his visit to Knoxville.

We had a chance to catch up with the 22nd rated player in the state of Georgia on Sunday.

Allen-Williams told us that he really enjoyed his time in Knoxville. He said he loved the way Butch Jones runs practice.

Coach Jones also made an impression on the young linebacker from a personal standpoint. Allen-Williams said he loves how coach Jones is as a person.

Character and integrity are two things that extremely important to coach Jones. Comments from recruits indicate that this is the way Jones and his staff carry themselves.

Allen-Williams told us he really liked linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen. He said he liked his style of coaching and that Thigpen is “a great coach and person”. Thigpen would be Allen-Williams position coach, if he chose to attend Tennessee.

Allen-Williams said he thought he would fit well in the Vol’s 4-3 defensive scheme.

After his visit to Knoxville Allen-Williams says his feelings toward Tennessee are “very strong”. He said he loves the vision the staff has for turning the program around.

It’s very apparent that Butch Jones has put Tennessee back on the map as a recruiting giant in the SEC. 247Sports currently rates the 2014 Tennessee Volunteers recruiting class as 6th in the nation. There’s still a lot of time until the 2014 National Signing Day, but the Vols are off to a great start.
