"Florida’s efforts to build its 2014 recruiting class got off to a flying start in 2012 and early 2013. That momentum has taken a hit of late: 247Sports’ Luke Stampini reports that wide receiver Ryeshene Bronson has decommitted from Florida, just days after linebacker Christian Miller decommitted from the Gators’ class."

From Bleacher Report

"It’s lonely at the top.Alabama coach Nick Saban—fresh off three national championships in four years—is currently experiencing the ugly side of being a winner. It started when Vanderbilt coach James Franklin called Saban “Nicky Satan.” Franklin later said it was a joke (h/t Yahoo! Sports), but it certainly wasn’t a very pleasant one if it was.Of course, Saban didn’t take it that way."

From the AL.com

"For the second straight season, Auburn center Reese Dismukes has been named to the Rimington Trophy’s spring watch list, the earliest in a string of watch lists for college football’s most prestigious awards.Dismukes, a Spanish Fort product, is one of 44 early centers placed on the watch list for the award, which recognizes the nation’s top center at the FBS level."

From Dawn of the Dawg

"Georgia junior David Andrews has been named to the Rimington Trophy’s 2013 Spring Watch List, according to an announcement on Tuesday.Andrews, a 6-2, 295-pound native of Johns Creek, is one of 44 players included on the list for the award given annually to the nation’s most outstanding center in NCAA Division I-A college football. Andrews is one of nine players from the Southeastern Conference named to the list."

From the Dallas Morning News

"Johnny Manziel brought his most famous football play to the baseball diamond. Manziel, who’s working out with a quarterback coach in San Diego, headed to a Padres game last week to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. But instead of rearing back and firing in his best fastball (or dirtball, in Denard Robinson’s case), Manziel decided to have a little fun."
