Kenny Britt is probably aware that the Tennessee Titans drafted Justin Hunter as an insurance policy for the troubled fifth year receiver, but it doesn’t seem to phase him.
"….and just brought in our young great Justin Hunter – Titans Online"
Britt was talking in reference to the young receivers the Titans already had on the roster and also who they’ve added to the team in the off-season.
It’s apparent from his comments that Britt thinks highly of the former Vol, much like the Titan’s front office did when they moved up to select Hunter early in the second round of the NFL draft.
These kind of comments are probably more in line with what Hunter is hoping to hear, rather then what his position coach, Shawn Jefferson, had to say last week.
Hunter could be asked to step up in a big way, sooner then he anticipates. Kenny Britt has already had a troubled history (he’s infamously had nine run-ins with the police since joining the Titans in 2009) and is coming off an ACL injury in 2011.
Britt’s anything but a sure thing for the Titans, so they’ll be looking for big things from the rookie out of Tennessee.
